Why This Role Matters
The Warehouse Specialist plays an important role in keeping Big Ray's operations running efficiently. You'll help ensure inventory accuracy, receive and organize merchandise, support shipping and fulfillment, and maintain an organized warehouse that keeps products moving to our stores and customers.
You'll also serve as a backup to the Shipping Specialist, assisting with shipping and delivery needs when necessary. This includes safely operating the company van and supporting deliveries.
Working closely with multiple departments, you'll help support both our Retail and Corporate Outfitting teams while contributing to the outstanding service Big Ray's is known for.
What You'll Do
· Receive, inspect, and organize incoming merchandise.
· Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and physical inventory.
· Support shipping, receiving, and fulfillment operations.
· Serve as a backup to the Shipping Specialist and assist with delivery needs as needed.
· Safely operate the company van when performing shipping or delivery duties.
· Move products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
· Assist with warehouse organization and inventory accuracy.
· Partner with multiple departments to support daily operations.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. To be successful in this role, you should have:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Two years of retail experience, including inventory control preferred.
· Experience using technology and computer systems to complete daily tasks.
· Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and perform physical inventory counts.
· Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements to drive a company vehicle.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Professional attitude and ability to work effectively with coworkers, business partners, and leadership.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and stay self-motivated.
· Commitment to following safety policies and workplace procedures.
· Collaborative mindset and ability to work well as part of a team.
· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day.
