Job Description
Big Rays is looking to hire a full-time Merchandise Coordinator II to join our Anchorage team. Merchandise Coordinator II is an intermediate merchandising role that builds on the responsibilities of Merchandise Coordinator I, with increased independence and accountability. As the Merchandise Coordinator, you’ll support the Senior Buyer by creating and managing purchase orders, managing inventory levels, and stock replenishment to support sales and margin goals and other duties. This position also assists with preparing reports, identifying trends, and highlights issues or opportunities for review.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of stairs, speaking and hearing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years’ experience in the retail industry.
- Two years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the desire to build lasting relationships internally and with retail partners.
- Demonstrated experience and success in a leadership role.
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business administration or another related field.
