Job Description
Success at Big Ray’s starts in the stockroom. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Inventory Control Lead to facilitate our merchandise flow and maintain 100% inventory accuracy. In this role, you will need to balance technical precision with physical stamina—perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and organized in a high-speed environment. This position is expected to contribute 50% of their time on the sales floor merchandising inventory and assisting customers.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Receiving & Processing: Unload and verify incoming shipments against POs; tag, prep, and hang merchandise for the floor.
· Digital Communication: Email or chat with our Buying and Accounts Payable teams to resolve issues.
· Inventory Accuracy: Conduct daily cycle counts using NetSuite and RFSmart to ensure 100% stock integrity.
· Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship customer orders and store transfers.
· Stockroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized backstock; assist with seasonal floor resets and offsite transfers using the company van (if applicable).
· Quality & Floor Support: Perform QA checks on new arrivals, replenish sales floor sizes daily, and execute price changes. Occasional sales floor coverage and POS processing may be required by request.
This is a non-supervisory position reporting to the Store Manager(s). This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of stairs, speaking and hearing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of experience in warehousing, retail, or similar.
- Familiarity with digital inventory management systems and scanning tools.
- Basic computer skills and digital communication: Microsoft 365 programs.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to read and distinguish numbers/letters on boxes or item labels.
- Efficient pacing, maintaining both speed and accuracy throughout your shift.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership or management experience.
- Personal interest or experience in hunting, fishing, camping, or working outdoors in Alaska.
