Job Description
Big Rays is looking to hire a full-time Corporate Warehouse Assistant. The Warehouse Assistant (WA) plays a critical role in contributing to the overall profitability of the Corporate Outfitting Department while also enhancing its brand image. The WA receives and maintains the products of the department in a neat and organized fashion while also fulfilling the requests of all orders in a timely manner and expediting them through the order fulfillment process. Ensuring all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and readily available on the sales floor and in the back-stock areas is critical.
Essential Job Functions
· Check shipment and transfer delivery for accuracy and that they are properly labeled for sale.
· Assist in correct receiving, labeling and organizing of all freight and back stock, including physical loading, unloading, moving and counting of merchandise.
· Follow all merchandise and computer system policies and procedures, as well as participate in all aspects of inventory control to maintain accurate records and inventory counts.
· Practice safe use and proper care of vehicles used to move merchandise, as well as any other equipment used in warehouses, including computers.
· Pull merchandise from the stock are to the sales floor to stock in accordance with merchandise presentation standards.
· Maintain safe, neat, and clean warehouse and back stock areas – hold shelves in a neat, clean and organized fashion with proper labeling and logical placement.
· Locate merchandise from existing stock, new shipments, and transfers to fulfill all new and/or backordered Corporate orders and expedite them through the order fulfillment process.
· Keep accurate records of all Purchase Orders and/or supporting documentation used for billing all Corporate orders.
· Protect the company’s value and integrity by maintaining confidentiality.
Non-Essential Job Functions
· Actively participate in regular department/store/staff meetings and provide meaningful input.
· Assist as needed with various store operations.
· Drive motor vehicle as needed.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
The following are required:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Two years of experience in retail, including inventory control.
· Proficient in the use of technology needed to complete job tasks.
· Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
· High degree of professionalism in all modes of communication, attitude and teamwork with business partners, team, peers, and management.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive wage ranging from $22-$24 per hour depending on experience, paid holidays, a 401(k) option, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and employee discount.
